There is a product sold by 'Pure Romance' (these are kind of like people that sell avon products) that will help with razor rash and ingrown hairs on your bikini like. The product is called cutchie cream. You use it in the shower or bath when shaving. Works great on all areas. I'm not sure how you would find out if anyone in your area sells it.

first you should try waxing by a pro. waxing helps to stop the reaction your body makes after shaving. and that reaction is a pimple like bump. then try using tea tree oil. you can get it at any health food store.

Well I would definately not exfoliate immediately after hair removal because a layer of skin has just been stripped off. I would however recommend exfoliating with a bath/shower puff and using a exfoliating product every few days. Honey Snap out of it by benefit is good for the face and the body shop do great ones for the body. I actually dont wwax or shave but uses these little things called silky mitts. It is a bit slower than shaving but it makes your legs feel lovely and smooth and you can also use them between waxing - try them they are fab.

Go to a beauty specialists, we do it at or clinic... we use lasers or Electrolysis .. we also use our fingers!!

ALso if you exfoliate either using your normal soap with some salt mixed in and scrub with that or use a rough sponge.. that will stop the skin from growing over the ingrowing hairs and will also stop anymore from forming..

How can i get rid of ingrown hair and bumps on my legs?

Make sure you are not using a dull razor, or any type of skin product that may be causing skin sensitivity. Let the hair grow for a couple days so that the bumps on your legs will not keep getting agitated by the razor (this will continue to make them worse). After a couple days, use a mild cleansing bar like Dove and a fresh razor to shave your legs. Apply a light lotion to your legs and keep them moisturized. You should see a difference immediately.

Also Note: Using a body scrub will WORSEN the problem.

I get the odd one or two on my neck whenver i wet shave, i normally use an electric razor.

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

How do I get rid of ingrown hair (not bumps buthair growing straight just under the skin)?

I wax or epilate.

They aren't red or infected in anyway that I can tell.

They grow in the natural direction but under my skin.

I have lots of them.

Most are fairly deep and can't be taken out with tweezers without making my skin bleed (so not an option).

Happens mostly on my legs, occasionally on my bikini area and never on my underarms but I use the same method for all of them.

How do I get rid of ingrown hair (not bumps buthair growing straight just under the skin)?

Hey this is funny, i actually have the exact same problem, i wax or epilate and soo on. i pick on them w/ tweezers and they leave marks and scars on my legs which look horibble. from experience i just let the hairs grow out, i also get a skin body scrub and exfoliate my legs every day in the shower i also use this product call tendskin which is a solution to move ingrown hairs, it doesnt reallly work for me but its worth a try-depends on certain skins.

good luck and let me know if you have any other solutions that will help. thankss its good to know im not the only one

How do I get rid of ingrown hair (not bumps buthair growing straight just under the skin)?

the easiest way to prevent them and also get rid of them is to exfoliate regularily. As layers of skin build up, the hair is trapped and starts to grow undeneath a layer of skin instead of out of the natural pore

How do I get rid of ingrown hair (not bumps buthair growing straight just under the skin)?

Try using Tend Skin products.

I wax my legs and underarms, so I know what you are going through.

How do I get rid of ingrown hair (not bumps buthair growing straight just under the skin)?

You're better off not trying to dig down for them unless they're becoming infected (in which case a skincare person should be doin that anyway). As I sit down at lot (in my job, desk job) I get a tonne of them on the back of my legs, the lady who waxes them for me sometimes said the only real way is prevention - scrubbing with pumice and/or soaking in very warm water with some lotion. Keep it moisterised, scrubbed and the problem will lessen. I wax too - I think it's a side-effect of the process. Keeping the skin scrubbed and softened is supposed to prevent it. Not sure that you can do much about the hairs once they do grow like that, eventually they will make their way to the surface as the skin sheds - so its not permanent.

exfoliating it will help. make sure you use a body scrub %26amp; a loofah but if you have acne skip the loofah %26amp; it would trap the acne in it %26amp; spread it around the next time you use it.
