How do you get rid of an ingrown hair in your pubic area?

I have an ingrown hair that has been getting progressively worse for about a month now. I thought that eventually it would grow out on it's own, but it has been a very long time and it is getting enflamed and painful. I was wondering how you remove such a problem, it is right on my bikini line. I have tried to pick it out with a pin but that only hurts and I can't seem to find the hair itself. Is there any other option besides a doctor and surgery?

2] soak with a warm moist cloth for ten minutes

3] wear your glasses or use a magnifying glass to find the hair

4] 'tease' the hair loose, and then pluck it [ always pluck the ingrown hair out, or it can grow back in! ]

5] apply antibiotic ointment

6] wear looser panties and shorts til inflammation goes down.

Tweezers!!! Break the skin with a pin (clean pin, be gentle) and "pinch" at the broken skin with the tweezers to search for that stubborn hair. If you don't suceed at first, put some facial toner on the opened bump. That will help clear out some of the pus and hopefully move the little hair upwards to where you can pinch it out!!!

Try taking a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol...and rub it over the ingrown hair for a few days...that should dry it out...are you sure it's not a "boil"?

go to sallys and buy a pair of "tweezerman" tweezers, they are made for ingrown hairs usually on men, i love them. they r as shaped like needles. after a long warm shower/bath, dry off and use the tweezers. They are costly but very worth it. like about $15-20. it might pinch at first when u break the surface but in a few minutes u will be fine. be sure to clean out the mucus and use peroxide to make sure it doesnt get infected.
