Hi,
can someone PLEASE help me...
I use to wax but I would get sooooooooo many ingrown hairs and not only small red bumps but HUGE bumps... so I stopped waxing and began to shave.... I began shaving everyday and I used a different razor everyday and the swelling did go down. But every so often my skin goes CRAZY... like at the moment my entire right leg is full of big red bumps... it looks so painful but it's not really just extremely ugly... cant wear skirts or anything at the moment
:o( sometimes its ok but I don't know what to do and I can't afford lazer or any of that stuff... I use tend skin for my bikini and it's been a big HELP but I still have my legs to deal with ... any suggestions???

Maybe:
-exfoliate after shaving, with a loofah or gritty soap like "lava"
-find a better foam, and leave it on longer pre-shave
-this might sound weird...but you might consider "bump fighter" razor blades. They cut the hair ever-so-slightly longer than conventional blades, and thus no hairs can fall back under the skin and become ingrown.
-have you considered hair removal products like Nair?

What ethnicity are you? Women with darker skin get more ingrown hairs, because their skin tends to be thicker (on the plus side, the darker you are, the better you age). You might want to go back to waxing... or try Nair. Don't test it on your shin first, I did that, and everything was fine, but when I applied it to my whole leg, my upper thigh had a very painful sunburn like reaction... so test it on your inner thigh first, where it's more sensitive.
