I have a rather large bump on my bikini line. I've had it since my last brazilian waxing... I'm not sure if it's an ingrown hair because I can't actually see a hair. I've had this for nearly a month because I keep picking at it. I've got some pus and blood out of it... I've even tried heat compresses but it's still swollen and ugly. What can I do??
Oh... I am not sexually active so I know it's not an STD.
HELP -- ingrown hair on the bikini line?
it could've happened from irritation to the waxing? If it is an ingrown hair, STOP PICKING! All the oil and dirt from your hands gets onto the bump and just irritates and infects it more. I suggest mildly scrubing it with a moisturising soap. if you can, get the top out and pluck it. If you are sure its not an ingrown hair, you should maybe see a doctor.
I know its probably really anoying! FEEL BETTER!

maybe when they waxed you and irratated a spot. stop irratating it more. get lotion. leave it alone for 2 weeks and then show ur doctor.

I also have a friend that has the same problem
but she has the bumps everywhere
i suggest to see a doctor if its just one,
but if it spreads if you get waxed again, just ask the person who waxes you, it may have something to do with the wax.
but this is not rare
many people are getting that from brazillian waxing

Sounds like an ingrown. If you keep picking at it, you will keep getting it infected (hence the blood and puss). Leave it alone and you will eventually see the hair pushing towards the surface so you can yank that sucker out.
HELP -- ingrown hair on the bikini line?
it sounds like a sebaceous cyst. The bikini line is an area prone to such cysts and become infected easily. You need to go to the doctors and get antibiotics to take the swelling down. stop picking at it, the infection will get worse.
HELP -- ingrown hair on the bikini line?
Yes, it's an ingrown hair. If you don't remove the ingrown hair, you have a chance of it forming into something gross...which sounds like it may already be the case. A cyst or abcess....which is caused by an ingrown hair. A cyst turns into a bump, kinda like a mosquito bite without the redness...and it has pus. You can't see the ingrown hair because of the pus....so you have to drain it. Just use ur fingers or a pair of tweezers (make sure they are clean, dip them in hyrdogen peroxide or something if you need) and pinch it until you get the pus to come out. It may bleed, and it may be uncomfortable. Of course your hands should be clean. After that, if you can see the ingrown hair, use tweezers to gently pluck it out, make sure you get the root of the hair, otherwise, it will only grow back and you'll have another strange, pus filled bump. You may want to use an ointment like neosporin and a bandaid after. if you can't see the ingrown hair still, you may want to have it looked at. An ingrown hair in itself is not a big deal, however cysts are kind of funny...you may want to do some reading on the web, webMd is a good site and iVillage is a website concentrated on women's issues...health,beauty, etc. Hope this helped.
