I have an ingrown hair that is covered over so there is nothing to hold onto to pluck. How do I get the hair to surface? Its a red bump now but it keeps getting bigger, I want it out before it becomes infected.

Do not try and tweeze it or pluck it out... You could have the chances of getting it infected or make it worse... My solutions (I get them all the freakin time!) Is use acne medicine... I use Acne Free... clean it just like a pimple...put a bandaid over it and slowly the medicine will push the hair out and any infection that may be there!

just pop squeeze the bump so it pops then the hair will *** through slightly and pull it out with tweezers

burn the tip of a needle and stick it in the bump to make a hole then put warm/hot compresses on the bump for about 5 min squeeze and out comes the hair use some alcohol afterwards to clean it out

T-Tree oil is a good in-grown hair remover if that fails, try gently exfoliating the area, what ever you do dont dig it out you will be left with a scar!
