What is the best way to get rid of an ingrown hair bump?

it is driving me crazy....I am about to cut open the damn thing and get the hair out.......it is a big bump but nothing will squeeze out, and now it hurts from me squeezing so much....I have tried a hot towel, any other recommendations?

What is the best way to get rid of an ingrown hair bump?

exfoliation wont work if the hair is already trapped under the skin. The quickest way is removal with a pin...but be careful. Best to do this directly after a hot bath or shower, so the pores are open. Make sure you wipe the pin with a mild surgical disinfectant to keep it very clean. Then just try to lift th hair above the skin level with the pin, BUT if you cant do it after four digs then stop, because the hair isnt long enough yet and you will only cause the skin to scar if you keep going. Just leave it, and try again in a couple of weeks when the hair should be long enough to remove easily this way.

What is the best way to get rid of an ingrown hair bump?

Exfoliation is the key!

If pressure after a hot compress doesn't work, it needs to be lanced. This is best done by a doctor. Then the hair will be "plucked" and it will heal.

If you try to lance it yourself, you run the risk of infection.

What is the best way to get rid of an ingrown hair bump?

use tweezers to get the hair out...after that, you just have to wait for it to close up.

What is the best way to get rid of an ingrown hair bump?

to be honest, thats what i do. to me, its not worth that much hurting for such a little thing. if you go to the store, they have stuff cremes, oils, stuff like that for after you wax, (i'm not saying you wax) but i use that and it works like a charm

Does laser hair removal help with ingrown hairs?

I get them SO BAD and am wondering if the laser sessions will help take care of getting rid of these pesky ingrowns.

Does laser hair removal help with ingrown hairs?

Here is a link to an informative article about a womans laser hair removal experience, I think you will find this useful in answering your question. ENJOY!

The best ingrown hair and razor bump creams have what in them?

For example Aloe Vera,etc.

The best ingrown hair and razor bump creams have what in them?

For razor burn: hydrocortizone (like Cortaid) - it treats the inflammation

For ingrown hairs: salicylic acid - it exfoliates that top layer of skin to free the hair

The best ingrown hair and razor bump creams have what in them?

I would ALWAYS advise straight aloe vera. I (like most people) get painful ingrown hairs when I shave my bikini line, and if you put aloe vera on straight away, they disappear! Keep reapplying.

It's also good for eliminating redness from waxing :)

I don't think I would even dream of using a razor for anything if I didn't have my aloe vera, lol

What's the beset solution for a stubborn ingrown hair? Over the counter, preferably.?

Very stubborn, very painful, and I can't see the hair at all. This hurts! Thanks for answering, it's very much appreciated.

What's the beset solution for a stubborn ingrown hair? Over the counter, preferably.?

If isn't visible maybe is a hair infection. Use shaving soap(cream) for washing. And antihemorrhoidal cream, it contains antibiotics and hydrocortizon too.

What's the beset solution for a stubborn ingrown hair? Over the counter, preferably.?

Try a topical antibiotic creme with antistetic for the pain. If that does not work, use the raw side of a potatoe peeling and tape it to the affected area. Leave it on for 24 hrs and check it. Starch in the potatoe skin can help draw it out faster.

Someone with ingrown hair problems on your face. Have you tried an electric razor? Better or worse?

My husband has the worst problem with this. We've tried everything from different razors to switching shaving cream, but to no avail. Marie Claire has an article in the January 2007 issue that features a product called Ingrown Hair Night Cream from The Art of Shaving. Works wonders! Also, if you can get away with shaving less frequently, that will help also.

Someone with ingrown hair problems on your face. Have you tried an electric razor? Better or worse?

Hmm usually when I go electric I will break out for a week or two as your face gets used to the metal and your hair grows out right for the way the new razor cuts so if you try electric stick with it for a few weeks and see after that. You might be shaving too close. It is recommended that you shave only in the direction of the hair growth... if you shave with the hair growth like you sweep your razor downwards, then you shouldn't go back the other direction and sweep it upwards... getting too close of a shave for some guys is the reason you get ingrown hairs.

I have an ingrown hair on my leg.?

It's been there for about 3 days and I've left it alone but this morning I woke up and it's really red and swollen. It actually hurts. Should I try to pluck it out...or just leave it alone?

And if I pluck it...how do I get it out without digging a hole in my leg? I can't really see it so is there any other way to try to draw the hair out without poking myself with sharp objects?

And as long as I'm asking, how do you prevent them?

I have an ingrown hair on my leg.?

Just pull it out and then squeeze the pus out and treat with an antiseptic.

I have an ingrown hair on my leg.?

soak in hot water and then try to pluck out if still hurts really bad go to dermatologist

I have an ingrown hair on my leg.?

Take a pair of tweezers and break the skin on the top of where the hair is. It will feel better to pull the hair out than to leave it in there. I don't hink you can prevent them. It's just something we have to deal with.

What is the best way to PREVENT ingrown hair?

I get them all the time. Mostly on the backs of my legs (above the knee), bikini line, armpits, and one more place...around my nipples! I should explain that last one. After having our 3 children I guess my hormones have been out of whack. All females have hair on their chests. Well, a few of those hairs around my nipples started growing darker and thicker after having kids, so I use my tweezer and pluck them. Yes, it hurts, but you get used to it just as with tweezing eyebrows. Any SERIOUS suggestions for getting rid of the ingrowns I have?

What is the best way to PREVENT ingrown hair?

if you have naturally curly hair you're more prone to get ingrown hairs, especially if you're shaving the hair off.... the best ways to prevent is to not shave (allow it grow longer) or to use depilatory cream (such as nair) or to get electrolysis to permanently remove the hair.

you can also invest in an electric razor to lessen the degree of ingrown hairs.

it sucks, i suffer from them too... nair works best for me

What is the best way to PREVENT ingrown hair?

it sounds crazy, but a friend told me to use deoderant after you shave , on the places where your prone to ingrown hairs, and it works like a charm:)

What is the best way to PREVENT ingrown hair?

exfoliate using a mild daily scrub like neutrogena daily scrub. it works wonders coz it has siacylic acid to stop break outs as u exfoliate

What is the best way to PREVENT ingrown hair?

Exfoliate with a loofah or scrubby sponge.

What is the best way to PREVENT ingrown hair?

I have heard about the deodorant trick as mentioned by someone else. I haven't had the problem with my arms, but for the bikini line, my solution was to go to a salon and have it waxed. You have to let the hair grow in a little bit, enough for the wax to take ahold of it. It solved a lot of problems for me. The hair grows in soft and doesn't get as ingrown as it does when you shave. A few years ago I broke down and paid for laser treatments to remove the hair permanently from the bikini line. It's been great since then. It's costly, but I was able to make payments each time I went so it wasn't so bad. This may not be an option for you right now...perhaps later on. However, the waxing works well and takes no time at all when done by a beauty salon.

Solution for ingrown hair and razor bumps?

what is the solution? and how to prevent it from happening again?

Solution for ingrown hair and razor bumps?

Why don't you buy bikini zone. I used that after I'd shaved and it works.

Solution for ingrown hair and razor bumps?

wash the area with face wash and put baby oil on it when your skin is still wet.

Solution for ingrown hair and razor bumps?

The site below discusses the problem in more detail. Basically, avoid shaving too close and you need to experiment to find the products that work well with your skin.

Best way to deal w/ a ingrown hair????

Shave my pubic area and have a in grown hair, just seeing show soultions........

Best way to deal w/ a ingrown hair????

I would put a warm compress, to iopen the pores and then take a tweezer squeeze and pull.

Best way to deal w/ a ingrown hair????

Apply a thick layer of moisturizer on it overnight then give it a gentle squeeze in the mrning and the hair should pop right out, use antibacterial ceram on it afterwards aswell to prevent an infection, you can apply a hot towel over the are too to loosed the hair.

In the future I would reccommend waxing or using an epilator for hair removal, it lasts lots longer and the hair doesn't grow back as quickly or as thick, the key to prevent in grow hair is to kep skinn properly moisturised so the hair can escape on it's way out.

I have ingrown hair in face, and doctor wont remove?

maybe you should see a dermatologist. and it is not unusual to get a second medical opinion these days, perhaps you should do that.

I have ingrown hair in face, and doctor wont remove?

Using a facial scrub once a week will help to keep ingrowing hairs at bay.

I have ingrown hair in face, and doctor wont remove?

have you looked into laser hair removal? its supposed to permenantly remove unwanted hairs...

I have ingrown hair in face, and doctor wont remove?

Not sure why the doctor wont remove it, maybe because of it's location. However, hear are some tips to helping treat and reduce the chances of getting them:

Avoid Unsightly and Painful Ingrown Hairs

Ingrown hairs (also called razor bumps) are unsightly and painful. They result when the shaved hair gets trapped inside the follicle or grows back into the skin. It can cause scarring, redness and swelling (its medical term is Pseudofolliculitis Barbae or PFB).

The comprehensive approach outlined here by my pals at *Menscience will solve the most stubborn conditions or occasional ingrown hairs. You will need to follow all four of the steps in this regimen for several weeks.

1. Treat with active ingredients

There are several products that claim to help treat ingrown hairs, but the reality is that Salicylic acid is the one active substance that can visibly improve razor bumps. It is a dermatological-grade ingredient that exfoliates, moisturizes, clears pores and can help prevent infection. Use a post-shave product with salicylic acid so it remains on your skin the whole day (see below).

Use only a non-acnegenic shaving cream specially formulated for sensitive skin, with lots of lubricating agents (foam-based shaving creams can dry and irritate your skin).

Do not use any product that has alcohol, it will seriously worsen ingrown hairs by drying the skin and closing the pores.

2. Improve your skin's surface

Exfoliating (removing the upper layers of dead skin) is indispensable to manage ingrown hairs. Daily use of a gentle face scrub with glycolic and salicylic acid is particularly effective.

Use a soft-bristle face brush and liquid cleanser in a circular motion on your beard to dislodge the tips of ingrown hairs, eliminate dead skin cells and clear follicles to allow hairs to surface unimpeded.

3. Adjust your shaving technique

Shaving too closely is one of the triggers for razor bumps. Hair stubs cut too closely will get trapped inside the hair follicle and dig inward or sideways. Don't worry, the disappearance of unsightly ingrown hairs will more than make up for the "five-o'clock shadow" appearance.

To avoid shaving too close, don't pull the skin when you shave; don't put too much pressure on the blades; shave with the grain and use a single-blade razor.

You will need to maintain this approach over time, as one extra-close shave will be enough to cause a recurrence of ingrown hairs that will take weeks to heal.

4. Treat already ingrown hairs

Carefully lift the ingrown end out with tweezers, but don't pluck the hair out; this will only make the hair regrow deeper.

Using products that contain azulene, allantoin and witch hazel will help reduce the redness and swelling

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

I have this small medium bump on my inner thigh where I shave, and its really annoying, its been there for 2 weeks now, and Its very irritable, and it looks kinda dark, and there isnt any hair growing there, but is it one? thats the only way I could think of getting it, and if so how can I remove it without scarring. I have been putting vaseline on it, but I really do not want a scar!

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

i get these ALL the time!!! Theyre SO annoying and PAINFUL!!! Get a hot wash rag...as hot as you can bare. then put it on the bump. This will cause the pore to open up, and a little puss will drain out bc its been infected...thats y its dark and y its lasting so long. then if the ingrown hair doesnt wiggle its way out that way, wait a couple days until it scabs over, then the hair will come up on its own a little. get a needle or a safety pin or anything that you can stick in the loopd hair to get it to grow outside the skin instead of into the skin. it shouldn hurt to un loop it. you should not have to dig around for the hair! if it doesnt come out rite away, pop it, like i said and apply a lil neosporen. hope this helps!

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

yes

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

might be a tumor... problem solved

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

yeah it iz!!!

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

probably yes

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

It might be a pimple. I would try to pop it. I have gotten one of those before and I popped it and it didn't scar.

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

Try applying hot compresses. If redness and swelling occur with a whiteness at the centre, it's likely an ingrown hair having problems. Once the white substance appears you can pierce it with a sterilized needle, allow the fluids to come through and relieve enough pressure so the hair can emerge. You won't scar. Otherwise, if it continues after another week or so, consult your physician.

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

It probably is

To avoid scarring you may need to put a warm compress on it so that it comes to a head and opens up. My Dr. advises that you shouldn't pluck the hair but pull out the tip above the skin and let it heal, then I guess you can shave it or whatever. If you scar easy try rubbing some neosporin on it instead of vaseline.

If it becomes painfull and swollen it may be infected and you may need to go to a Dr.

Some will try but I would not advise try to dig it out with tweezers esp. if you are worried about scars

good luck

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

wax that little bit of area. That's what i did and the hair came out oof its roots...plus it barely hurt!

Is that a sign of an ingrown hair?

no thats herpes!!

Bikini Line...Open pores and ingrown hair?

Ladies ...i have alot of hair and whenever i shaved my bikini line it seems to grow back faster and now it's starting to get a little darker than my natural skin color....a friend of mine said it's razor burn.(I am brown in complexion)Should i wax and maybe it will help the darkness or some one told me about tend skin, they said it helps with the 'razor burn' and oh dose anyone knows how to hide or avoid open pores? Is teh darkness normal ..does anyone have the same problem?

Bikini Line...Open pores and ingrown hair?

first of all, i would definitely wax or go to a salon to be waxed to keep razor burn from happening. razor burn normally looks like ingrown hair or small infected pores on the skin, and can sometimes be bright red, though most likely not on your brown-toned skin.

the wax should last about 4-6 weeks. the hair must be at least 1/4'' for the wax to take hold and pull it out, so you might need to wait a week or two if you've just shaved.

it will also help with the appearance of large pores, as that is also partially caused by shaving - the hair growing back makes the pores look large.

it is normal for the hair to be darker than your skin or the hair on your head. and you can't stop that from happening through waxing or shaving ... sorry.

Bikini Line...Open pores and ingrown hair?

I have really dark hair and have searched for the best bikini remedy for years. I think waxing is the way to go. You need to give yourself a week or more rest in between waxings and you need to make sure you are scrubbing your bikini line with an exfoliating sponge or something like that so that you don't get ingrown hairs. Lay off the shaving for a while and try the waxing. Hurts, but it is worth it. If you are dark skinned, you might try Veet (a cream).

Bikini Line...Open pores and ingrown hair?

for the ingrown hairs and red areas you should use Bikini Zone cream, it works like a charm.

Is shaving arm n other ingrown hair necessary 4 a 13yr old girl?

i'm much worried about the hair growth in my armpit n other place.i have shaved thrice but i feel that its growing fast.plz give me a solution .

Is shaving arm n other ingrown hair necessary 4 a 13yr old girl?

Hmm It is neccessary if you have it. (obvious) For hygiene reasons really... and girls having auxiliary hair can be quite unsightly.

Shaving is the quickest solution but the regrowth is fast too. As time goes by you'll find that the hair strands are thicker (more obvious) and tend to grow faster.

I prefer plucking. Using the good old tweezers.... Removing the hair by plucking, gets rid of the roots too. So the regrowth tends to be finer and a little slower compared to shaving.

If you can afford it, epilators are good. They are like tweezers X10. They can pluck much faster and cleaner. They can also be used for many areas.

You can explore more permanent options when you get older. :)

Is shaving arm n other ingrown hair necessary 4 a 13yr old girl?

wax, grows back in thirty days or so

Is shaving arm n other ingrown hair necessary 4 a 13yr old girl?

If U feel like it- sure- go ahead!

I'm almost 13,%26amp; I shave... (I started since I was 11...) Waxing%26amp; using "Nair" stuff (like hair-removing lotion) makes the hair stay-off longer. Shaving-- you'll have to shave again about 2 days later (sometimes, 12 hours!) BUt shaving's OK

How do I remove an ingrown hair off of my face?

How do I remove an ingrown hair off of my face?

How do I remove an ingrown hair off of my face?

How do I remove an ingrown hair off of my face?

use a safety pin and open the pore that the hair is in. if you still cant get to the hair with tweezers, slightly squeeze the pore between your knuckles until the hair pops out. good luck!

How do I remove an ingrown hair off of my face?

Brazilian wax...ingrown hair prone...any cure / avoidance methods?

When I shave down there, I rub some Secret Solid on my hands and apply it to the area just after shaving. You might try that on the area afte waxing too. It helps me a lot.

Can an ingrown hair cause a cyst??

thanx!

Can an ingrown hair cause a cyst??

YES.

a cyst that hurts A LOT. lol

usually though, only a pimple forms. But then people touch it, pick at it, pop it, etc... and this can irritate it which then eventually leads to a cyst

How to get rid on ingrown hair in scalp?

I have this huge bump on the back of my head, and i believe it is caused from an ingorn hair. Time to time, i get little bumps back there after a haircut, but they go a way for a few days. I have had this bump for a few months, and I'm jus tired of waiting for it to go away!

Are there any products to treat it, or sum method I can go about? I wear all of my hats backward so that the brim covers that huge thing from plain site whenever I am out somewhere! Please help, I'd like to show my fully-exposed head to the world again!!! lol

Thanks to all who respond in advance!

How to get rid on ingrown hair in scalp?

Well personally what i would go do is see a docter abot it and ask what could cure it.

How to get rid on ingrown hair in scalp?

this sounds gross, but if you trust anyone to do this...have them take a needle and stick in it the bump (i know this is gross) and fish the hair out. the hair mostly likely will appear to be laying flat, but if you just shove the needle under one side of it, you can pry the other side out....then id just pluck it to get rid of it all together! i know that was gross, but lol thats how ya gotta do it!

ps - dont be intimidated by a "needle" just use a safety pin or something...obviously sterilize it first, but it really doesnt hurt.

How to get rid on ingrown hair in scalp?

The best thing to do is to use an after shave and if you still have problems use a little peroxide on the areas that have bumps.

If it is an ingrown hair, you should try to pull it out with a tweezer first.

Also, if you use a exfoliator on your head/neck then it will prevent some of the dirt from getting in there to infect the area.

How to get rid on ingrown hair in scalp?

If it is ingrown, it came out and then went back in. Usually you can take tweezers and pull it out from where it entered. It will hurt!

How to get rid on ingrown hair in scalp?

wet a wash cloth as hot as you can stand it and put it on the area --- as the cloth cools re wet it w/hot water again -- do this for about 10 -15 mins per day at least a few times per day and it should help!

Also, maybe with the next haircut try bump stop there...

and make what ever is used to cut your hair with is clean!!!! and cleaned before it is used on You!

How to get rid on ingrown hair in scalp?

I've gotten ingrown hairs on my scalp before too, and I know how much they suck. What you have to do is have someone pluck it with a tweezer and squeeze out the infection like a pimple. You might even want to try dabbing Hydrogen Peroxide or Rubbing alcohol on it too. If you get them that often, you might want to talk to a dermatologist, and If it appears to be anything other than just an ingrown/infected hair follicle, be SURE you talk to a doctor. Hope this has helped!

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it ..

from getting impacted in the SAME place ALL the time?

It's so gross............. would laser hair removal eliminate this issue or what?

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

Laser Hair Removal would be a great solution. If it is a "limited" area that you need to treat, that could also bring the price down dramatically. You can to go to http://www.HairRemovalForum.com, they have a number of different providers there and if you call them they can give you different price options.

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

thats weird

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

Yes; laser hair removal is permanent; if you must remove the hair, and can afford the treatment, it's certainly the way to go.

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

You should talk to your doctor about this problem...cuz i have no idea i never had that problem before. Its best to ask your doctor since he/she will know alot more about this than others on here.

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

you HAVE to. oh my

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

do you really HAVE TO shave there

thats the reason you are getting all

the ingrown hairs

if you have the $$$ for lazer removal ,go for it

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

laser removal would stop it. try changing from shaving to such products like Nair that remove hair without needing to shave. Worked for me, used to have the same problem.

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

Yes....laser would take care of this...

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

My wife Say's that this very common. Try have a bikini waxing done and it will usually clear it up and you can usually go back to shaving after that. Laser hair removal would eliminate this problem completely. They remove the roots. Good luck with this problem it can be very uncomfortable..

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

remember to cleanse the area after you've shaved it (at beauty salons you'll find a lot of alcohol-based cleansers that kill bacteria on the skin). a lot of it is that people forget to clean off the area after shaving it, and that causes the ingrown hairs. Laser hair removal would eliminate the issue, but it is -very- expensive. If you're rich, I'd go for it, but if not, just keep shaving. Also, waxing avoids a lot of the problems that shaving gives you, and lasts 4 weeks. :)

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

Just let your pubes grow out and yank out the offending one by the roots.

(You can stop shaving there for a couple of days can't you?)

And of course, the reason it's ingrown is because you're shaving so close that the hair is actually below the skin line and grows back into your skin.

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

try bikini zone

you can find it at most walmarts and targets

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

my girls and I wax. but if you just have one nasty spot you just need to pluck. you can ice it first. Just know you have to grow out that little hair a bit, don't dig for it and keep it clean with alcohol till its up a little. I know some people are laughing

but its painful! (and sure, laser would keep it gone !)

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

shave downwards. but if you have an ingrown that just wont go away try to pluck it out with tweezers, it wont feel good but it probably wont come back

good luck!!

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

My gyno says that if you shave too often and get ingrown hairs, they can turn into sebaceous cysts and you have to get those lanced...OUCH!!!!! Definitely shave with a bikini zone type gel, and after shaving (downward, always) rinse with cool/cold water. After you get out of the shower, apply an antibiotic cream like neosporin or polysporin, especially on the ingrown hair. Best to pluck it for now to get the root. Next time, try waxing, laser, or let it grow...the world will not end, if you don't shave as often. Also, I noticed that letting it grow for a couple weeks, then using a hair trimmer, you can't get quite as close, but it helps, lots easier, and quicker.

I keep getting an ingrown hair in the same (pubic) area I HAVE TO shave here, so how do I stop it .....?

Try using Bikini Zone products, or start using an electric shaver instead of a razor. Laser hair removal is supposed to be permanent, but it's very expensive. It will probably cost about $2000 to do the entire bikini area. Each treatment costs about $350, and it takes about six or seven treatments to permanently remove the hair.

What is ingrown hair and how can u get rid of it?

The first answer is the most accurate so far and other than shaving less often, there is really no "cure." I recommend you use a good hair conditioner on your beard; apply to your facial hair while your face is still damp and do not rinse it off. This keeps the hair softer and it is less likely to curl around and grow back toward (and into) your face.

What is ingrown hair and how can u get rid of it?

Ingrown hairs occur when the hair actually grows back into the skin or cannot penetrate the surface of the skin due to clogged pores or follicles.

What is ingrown hair and how can u get rid of it?

Well once you find the hair you get a pair of tweezers, and you pluck it.

What is ingrown hair and how can u get rid of it?

your hair reverses %26amp; grows back into your skin you can use tweezers to pull the hair out

How do I remove ingrown hairs caused by a hair removal device that pulled the hairs out from the roo

How do I remove ingrown hairs caused by a hair removal device that pulled the hairs out from the roots.?

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods. Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://3rc.info/

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing

i think its getting infected and stuff. People tell me to just put a bandage with neosporin on it but i tried that once with one and it left a nasty blackish scar where the skin died...i dont want this to happen again!%26gt;!%26gt;!%26gt;!%26gt;

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

My doctors said to leave alone and they will take care of themselves. They do look yucky but if you don't pick at them, they will go away and won't leave scars.

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

just go to the doctor and dont do this thing again...

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

I suffered the same fate a few times. The only thing that helped me was the doctor. Just a word of caution, depending on where this hair is, DO NOT get the numbing needle before the doc removes the hair. I've had to have an ingrown hair removed 3 times now, all in different spots, and the first time I had the doc use that numbing stuff in a needle, big mistake. That crap hurts way more than the scaple the doc used. And this comes from personal experience.

Good luck.

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

ichthammol ointment20%, its a black drawing salve, put a dot on a bandaid, let it stay on overnite and clean it out in the mmorning, it draws out the poison and the ingrown hair.

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

go to doctor!!!!

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

GO to the doctor

I have an ingrown hair that i cant see the hair and for 3 weeks i have tried to lance it and nothing is workin

if you cant see it then tweezers will not work, go to the doctors it is safest bet.

My ingrown hair isnt popping?!HELP!?

why wont it pop? im poking it hard and its not popping, is it becuase it doesnt have a white head? if so, how do i get it to awhite head?

My ingrown hair isnt popping?!HELP!?

Some ingrown hairs can be a pain in the mind, because it is mainly the mind that doesn't allow you to take your mind off it. The best way is to leave it alone for a couple of days, ignore it completely and then look at it. If it looks like it has started to cure than just leave it, but if more infection gathered to the spot then take an ice cube and try to keep it on the ingrown hair for around 30 minute if you can handle it. The cold ice will make the spot gathered enough infection to the spot to make it pop easily. Once the ingrown hair is out you are out of trouble, the skin will recover in no time. Good luck!

My ingrown hair isnt popping?!HELP!?

Please be very careful with your ingrown hair as it sounds like a stubborn one.Hair roots are easily infectious and from one simple ingrown hair you can get quite an infected booboo that can leave a scar behind.Try to leave it alone for a week,no squeezing, just repeat the icecube treat. Report It

My ingrown hair isnt popping?!HELP!?

You're not supposed to screw with it. Just let it go away on its own. If it doesn't you'll probably have to see a doctor to have them remove it.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

i am a virgin, about 6 months ago i had 2 or 3 bumps on my penis on the right underside of the shaft. they went away. i thought not much of it. but now i have had one for almost a month. it doesnt seem to be getting much better, but not any worse. there is no pain, nor itching. its just embarassing and mentally disturbing.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

its ingrown hair. i had the same problem and just like you i was freaking out. i went see my doctor and she told me it was ingrown hair. mines took about 3weeks to disapear.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

visit your doctor.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

If it's herpes it must've been really hurt. May be the two you've mentioned latter. I suggest, go see your doctor.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

GO TO YOUR FAMILY DOCTOR. DO NOT, I REPEAT...DO NOT BOTHER YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY ROOM WITH THIS PROBLEM UNLESS THERE IS SEVERE PAIN!

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

Herpes would be blistery and ulcery and painful. Most likely it is just like heat irritation. Don't worry about it. If you masterbate you may be causing the irritation be sure and use some lube. A friend of mine got worried b/c he had these bumps. Turns out he wasn't using any lube when he masterbated.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

Well a herpes sore would heal by now. They only last for about a week at most.

If you are worried about herpes, now would be the time to be smart about it. If you get cold sores on your mouth, DO NOT wipe your mouth then use the bathroom without washing your hands first. You can transfer it to your penis.

I doubt its anything other than an ingrown hair or irritation from your jeans, or soap, or laundry detergent.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

Go to your doctor to get it checked out. It is not herpes since you are a virgin.

Inflammed Ingrown Hair - Bikini Line?

Any good treatments or creams I can use? It's red, has a big bump, but it doesn't look like it's going to come up any time soon. It's very warm to the touch. Any suggetions?

Inflammed Ingrown Hair - Bikini Line?

Tend skin. Or keep exfoliating it in the shower, it will hopefully come to a head. If it is not tender. Don't pick at it, if you do make sure you sanitize it. Even with peroxide if need be.

Inflammed Ingrown Hair - Bikini Line?

This is not really a good idea but if it bothered me enough I would pick it out with a needle.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

area is looking worse, its black and purple..and ive used a needle 3 times to poke it and squeeze.all i see is blood coming out..i cant get to the hair i guess...i dont want this to leave a scar..help!!!!!!!!!!

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

STOP F*@KNING WITH IT!!! LEAVE IT ALONE FOR LIKE A WEEK TO LET THE IRRITATION YOU BROUGHT ON TO GO AWAY!! THEN WHEN YOU CAN SEE THE HAIR GET IT WITH TWEEZERS BUT IF IT WONT COME OUT SEE A DR.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

you are bruising the area, %26amp; probably causing an infection that yo can't see...time to maybe see a doctor??????

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

PFB Vanish is the shizznit!! I LOVE this stuff, and its cheap

http://www.naturalyours.com/PFB.htm

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

Have you tried Tweezers?...if you can see the hair.....you should be able to get it that way.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

Yeah, sounds infected, I'd make an appointment soon to see your doctor!

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

buddy uv not specified the area wat is ingrown hair try a razor a gillete may be a plucker to remove hair.ul stil feel pain but cant help it na!

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

Depending on where it is, put some antibiotic stuff such as Neosporin on it %26amp; then cover it with a band-aid %26amp; LEAVE IT BE for a little while. The more you mess with it, the worse you're going to make it %26amp; possibly cause a nasty infection if you haven't already. Another thing to try, although messy, is this stuff called Prid Salve. It's brownish goo but it helps draw out infections %26amp; such....works great. Make sure to cover w/ a band-aid either way.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

Leave it alone! You have already caused enough damage to it! let it heal and the hair will come out on it's own. and use some antibacterial ointment and a band- aid that will help it heal back to normal.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

My husband gets those all the time. Most of the time an ingrown hair will keep coming back, you need to pluck it out with tweezers.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

Go to a doctor ....

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

Tools: Friend, Lancet, tweezers; alcohol.

You need an assistant.

Don't poke and squeeze. The yucky stuff sounds like the hair has had some time to grow under the skin. Use the lancet to lift the (length of the) hair up out of the skin. Wait a day or two then tweeze the spot. If you can't "wait" go a head and remove it, just be prepared for the the likely hood of scarring. .

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

get some neosporian and apply it twice a day for 3 days for the scaring or possiable scaring.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

You might try putting a piece of raw potato on it for 24 hours it might pull the hair to the surface if that doesn't work try a piece of Alvera for the same period of time. If that doesn't work I don't know what to tell you.

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

leave it alone, maybe go to a doctor.....next time you get one let it grow a bit till teh hair pokes out then pull with tweezers. Sometimes if u'r careful you can lift it out witha needle but if it bleeds you need to leave it alone. Bleeding means you are gone into to connective tissue layer of your skin in this area the hair is barley out of the follicle

Ive tried to get an ingrown hair out for weeks now and the?

I've found that the best way is to leave it alone, and let nature take its course. It may look disgusting and be uncomfortable, but the ingrown hair will either dissolve itself or form a pimple that you can then attack. A dermatologist can treat this immediately. If you keep picking and squeezing it you risk having a scar. The best way to prevent them is to only shave in one direction. I used to shave in both directions on my neck to ensure a close shave. You have to force yourself to only shave one direction, even if you don't get a close shave. After time, you will get a close shave by only shaving in one direction. And the ingrown hairs will be gone.

What can I do about ingrown hairs around bikini line?Every method of hair removal causes them.?

I have tried shaving and hair removal creams, these also cause a rash. Waxing is better but after 4-5 days I get massive pimples, so for the past 2 years I have been using an Epilady which removes the hair from the root. Only thing is that again, when the hairs start growing I get ingrowns. Lots of them. After so many years I have scars. I can't afford lasar treatment, so other suggestions would be a great help. I have also used a lotion called "In Grow Go" and another one which I cant remember, but these didn't get rid of them. Any home remedies?

What can I do about ingrown hairs around bikini line?Every method of hair removal causes them.?

I have always used Bikini Zone, it helps with ingrowns and with razor burn, no bumps or anything. I would also try A %26amp; D ointment, it's super cheap and it clear so you can't see it.

Ingrown hair left on legs after shaving?

Exfoliate (use a loofa when you wash instead of a wash cloth or just soap), use shave cream/gel and a good razor (I recommend the Venus razor with 3 blades), and lotion up afterwards. Exfoliate both before and after shaving, too. Before will get your pores opened, and after will loosen up any ingrown hairs.

Ingrown hair on testicle?

it might be razor burn...... why the hell would you shave your nut when your bored?

Ingrown hair on testicle?

Sounds like an ingrown hair to me. Many people mistake them for Genital Warts because its a bump. If you havent had sex though its probably a hair or razor burn.

Some more info on Std's for when you do have sex.

Ingrown hair on testicle?

I just wanted to say that the way you explained it had my ROTFLMAO. Don't worry, alot of times, if you have an ingrown hair, it will probably get worse until you remove it with a tweezer or a pin needle. Remeber to disenfect the area with rubbing alcohol.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

Please don't read further if you're easily grossed out. I have an ingrown pubic hair and it hurts really bad. Yesterday I got of the shower and this gross brown stuff was coming out of it. I've been putting antibiotic cream on it three times a day, but it still hurts really bad. I've had it for three days. Any suggestions for relieving the pain and healing it faster? Thanks!

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

lol, good thing it's an anonymous forum, eh? You're just going to have to get a pair of tweezers and pluck the hair out. It won't hurt any worse and it'll heal it up in a flash.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

You can try applying a warm, wet face towel to the area but I would also recommend having your doctor evaluate this further. Whenever I get one of these I have to let my doctor remove it because when I try to do it myself it causes even more pain.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

just take motrien until it gets better or you really need to go see a doctor

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

This isn't just ingrown, it's infected. You can try pulling the hair out with tweezers and then cleansing the wound with antibiotic ointment, and then cover it with a band-aid.

In general, there are many products you can use to ease ingrown hairs. I've heard that strippers use Neosporin as a shaving gel, and Tendskin is a terrific after-shave toner available at many beuaty stores like PureBeauty.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

i always pull mine it hurts like hell while im pulling but after it feels so much better

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

ok did you remove the hair? if you didnt this could be why its still quite sore, usually they heal quite quickly so just keep putting on the cream

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

It'll hurt, but pull the hair out with tweezers. It will heal and clear up much faster.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

It seems like the problem of hair root health. Try total nature-based soap.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

an ingrown hair can turn into a boil please see your doctor.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

It won't heal until you get the hair out of there. Clean some tweezers with rubbing alcohol or boil them. Squeeze out the yucky stuff and get the hair out. Apply Polysporin and leave it alone. If you're squeamish about the pain, put some Ambesol on it first. Try to go commando for a few days and wear loose pants while it heals. Good luck!

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

See a doctor.

Relief for an ingrown pubic hair?

you have to remove the hair or else it wont go away. warm it up with a hot wet towel once it is soft take a mirror under you where you can see it and try to use tweezers to break the skin covering over it then grab the hair and pull it out. it will hurt but it will heal once the hair is gone.(usually takes about 3 days) you can put penicillin pomade over it they sell it in the pharmacy.

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

i have bad ingrown pubic hair,it wont go away, there are like red pimples and are everywhere, they have been there since i got a wax, a month ago please help i cant sleep with my bf untill its cleared up as its embarasing, thanks so much god bless

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

i'm so sorry hun. you might want to try and go to the place to got it waxed and figure out what exactly were the ingredients used. Then you should try and go to a dermatologist and tell them what happened. Since it is a skin condition, I'm sure the dermo would be able to help. You could be having an allergic reaction. If not, try bathing the area with warm water so that your pores open up and that ingrown hair will come out. Sorry it's happening to you. Hope it gets better!

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

put a band aid on it!

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

You will probably have to wait till it grows out, but you may try hydrogen peroxide to remove excess skin so the hair can grow out easier.

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

Do you own a Cat? If not I would suggest getting one.

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

Try a mild antibacterial soap, and wipe with sensitive skin astringent. Hope this helps.

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

vanishmybumps.com, the website sounds weird but the product is great!

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

Honestly the only little spots I've ever had that got ingrown, well I pretty much treated it like a pimple...you may have to mess with them and get them to clear out. If they are actually big and noticeable then they may be infected, in that case I'd go to your doctor.

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

So sorry to hear about your bad experience....have you called the place where the procedure was done? I have a problem with NAIR the ingredients are just too strong for me.

It's probably one of the chemicals....have you applied warm towels followed by cool ones, that should help some. Hope you get better real soon

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

ouch, that is nasty, I'd try some oil of olay for sensitive skin daily facial toner for a short time and if it doesn't clear up go to a dermatologist

Whatever you do please don't try to open them up or lance them as you could get a really nasty infection.

Dermatologists see this all the time and there is nothing to be embarrassed of at all. Many gals get bikini waxes and this occurs more often than what you'd think.

Embarrassment causes women to self treat or take a let's wait and see approach which then leads to more serious and very serious infections and issues.

Try a very mild astringent for a few days max it could open them up gently and get things healing and the hair coming out but if not you MUST see a physician.

Very bad ingrown pubic hair please help me?

Hi!

Go buy Bikini Zone, works wonders in a few days. (gel format). If not you also need to exfoliate, scrub and remove skin on top as much as possible so that hair can regrow straight and not ingrown. Next time try trimming, electric bikini trimmers on eBay new can go for 5-10$ (retail is pricey).

For body best thing that worked cause I have the same problem (this is going to sound crazy) is ground coffee, preferably dry or you can use old used coffee grinds (not instant) and bring it in the shower. Wet your legs with water then take a pinch full and in circular motions (not straight) rub it around and around for a minute or so. Do this every item you shower and it makes legs soooooooo soft, incredible! Alsomost toners are like 98% rubbing alcohol and water, so after my shower (once my legs are dry) I take rubbing alcohol and apply it liberally to your legs and problem areas (soak it) then let it dry on it's own, should help thin the skin and dry out a bit.

I looked for over 8 years for a product against blackheads.

Clarins has an awesome line, for night time you need the toner and oil, its a special oil that dissolves blackheads (for real) and cleans your face overnight of impurities. Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix no water based product can "clean" your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. This oil also dries up the pimples and the black heads all the way down. I recommend using it for 6-8 weeks then going for a facial (cost maybe 25$) and ask for a facial specializing in black head removal or you can look it up online, how to steam first and all and yes using a tissue paper not your fingernails really is better, I know cause now I have little brown spots and acne scars from years of picking with nails, tissue forms a little barrier so that the sharp edge of your nails doesn't cut the thin outer cell layer.

You can find it cheaper on eBay as it is a bit pricey in stores. Here is the name: Oil: CLARINS Lotus Face Treatment Oil Combo SKIN 1.4oz/40ml will last forever , you put toner on your face first, when your face is still moist you put 4 drops of oil (one on each finger, you only need a teeny bit) then rub your finger tips together on other hand and after a few secs of rubbing use your finger tips to dab it on top of your moist skin... just be careful not to put more than 4-6 small drops of oil and that your face is wet from toner and to dab it over not rub. Toner: NEW Clarins Toning Lotion with Iris OILY Skin Toner 200mL.

The body shop also has an awesome mattifying moisturizing tea oil face gel.

Also only use non-comedogenic products (These products are less likely to cause blackheads (open comedones) or whiteheads (closed comedones)), it will be normally written in small on the label if they are non-comedogenic.

Take care, Felisia

What's ingrown pubic hair?

I recently shaved my pubic hair for the first time. I plan on letting it grow back out, because it is uncomfortable. Haha. Anyways, will it grow back out okay? Like, nothing bad, and what about ingrown pubic hair? Helps!

What's ingrown pubic hair?

Sometimes people get ingrown pubic hair. It is the same as any other ingrown hair. The skin forms over the follicle and blocks the hair from growing out. I would recommend exfoliating in the shower with a loofah or wash cloth. You can also use an azulene oil. Both of these methods will prevent ingrown hairs, particularly useful when waxing...

What's ingrown pubic hair?

If its uncomfortable then buzz instead of shave. Ingrown pubes are just hair that don't break the skin, they kind of grow sideways. the best way to tell if you get one is it you find a bump that looks like a zit.

What's ingrown pubic hair?

u seem to be unduly worried about your pubic hair a lot. it will grow back with more density %26amp; you can put a plait %26amp; decorate it with flowers. So dont worry. Hair never grows on soft skin so the ingrown which you you see now will come out with time %26amp; will be out only when you start your married life when that area puffs out. so Dont Worry Be Happy

What's ingrown pubic hair?

It will grow back out, no problem with that, but as pubic hair is curly, sometimes it will curl under the skin before it grows out. All you need to do, is scratch the top and release the hair. While it is growing back in, it will itch like crazy. In the "good old days" women were routinely shaved at the hospital before giving birth, not fun. Been there done that Best wishes

What's ingrown pubic hair?

it will grow back just the way it was before. Just to let you know, if you keep shaving it smooth it will be a lot easier from now on, and you won't get ingrown hairs.

Ingrown hairs are where the new hair that starts to grow back doesn't grow through the skin- it stays under the skin and makes the skin irritated. Bacteria can get in this irritation (and is sometimes the cause) and it can create a little bump that looks like a pimple.

What's ingrown pubic hair?

It's probably going to itch like crazy when it grows back in because your body isn't used to it yet. You increase your chances of ingrown hairs if the skin down there (not inside, but outside) is dry, so try to keep a little vaseline.

Monitor your pubes, particularly the bikini line because that's where the ingrown hairs love to appear. If you see one, I'd say take a pair of tweezers to it or it'll make these gross bumps that never go away.

What's ingrown pubic hair?

Yes it will grow back fine, coarser though. Kind of similar to the hair on your legs, but not as back. The more you do it, the rougher it will be when it grows back. Yes those little pimples hurt, and itch sometimes. I forgot what they were specifically called, but they will go away on their own.

What's ingrown pubic hair?

your skin gets used to it after a while. you have to give it few tries not just once and give up. also, the upper pubes seem to be where most of the razor bumps appear so you may just want to keep a nice trimmed tringle there but continue to shave around your lips and butt. It helps to rub rubbing alchohol on the area after you shave, it breaks up the body oils that clog your newly open hair folicles and cause that

Ingrown pubic hair?

what can i do to prevent and get rid of ingrown pubic hair?

Ingrown pubic hair?

It depends on the stage it is in. For the most part you can put a hot compress on it and it would drain, get the hair out and make sure its cleaned and drained well and kept clean. If it is infected one has to take antibiotics and see a medical provider to monitor it.

Ingrown pubic hair?

Ingrown hair or what??

Okay I had this bump on my leg and i scratched it and there was a tip of hair sticking out so i grapped it with tweezers to remove it and it pulled out like and inch and then like elastic it shot back into the skin...i tried to pull it out and then it went way under the skin and i can't find it. What will happen to this? This is the strangest thing i have seen it was like a spring getting stretched and then snapping back.

Ingrown hair or what??

Okay...remain calm.

In order to get back to your own world, you only need to step back through the looking glass.

Ingrown hair or what??

no clue what your talking about...i have never had anything like that happen to me, but good luck with it

Ingrown hair or what??

Sounds like a parasite...not a HAIR

Ingrown hair or what??

It probably broke at skin level but you didn't see it... there should be nothing to worry about. Just check the area over the next day to make sure it doesn't become infected...

Ingrown hair or what??

What is the best and cheapest solution to shaving legs that get ingrown hair folicles?

i use new razors but i t is like my thighs are getting too sensitive and the hairs are getting ingrown. so when i shave, i just seem to make matters worse. should i go with an electric shaver or what?

What is the best and cheapest solution to shaving legs that get ingrown hair folicles?

Try using razors that only have one blade, and shave in the direction of the hair growth, not against it. Then be sure to use a bath poof or something similar to exfoliate the area after shaving. And don't shave daily, only every couple of days at most. For me I have found that works the best. It also helps if I don't wear clothing that rubs the area too much. If you are wearing shorts or a skirt long enough to cover the problem area, consider not shaving it at all.

Pale skin prone to red spots-help me perfect my skin?/Ingrown hair cures?

Ok-Here's the deal.

I've got pale skin from not wearing shorts. I refuse to go to a tanning bed. How can I get rid of these pore marks and little break outs on my legs? I mean, I'm fairly sure they're not ingrown hairs, as I always moisturize and change my razor blade regularly. Even if they were, how do I get rid of them?

My boyfriend and I are thinking of taking the next step-formal dating. Dresses are going to be needed soon, so please help!

Pale skin prone to red spots-help me perfect my skin?/Ingrown hair cures?

Hi!

For body (not the face) best thing that worked cause I have the same problem (this is going to sound crazy) is ground coffee, preferably dry or you can use old used coffee grinds (not instant) and bring it in the shower. Wet your legs with water then take a pinch full and in circular motions (not straight) rub it around and around for a minute or so. Also many tanning salons have stand up cabing that are light stand up tanning beds but they are more strong so the max a darker person usually can go is like 10 maybe 12 minutes. 4-6 minutes is usually good. On eBay you can find self tanners, I would suggest using the non colored one as for me the color fills my pores and then some pores get blocked I find but if not I find the gel applies good, Neutrogena and Banaboat have nice cheap products. Probably a good idea to read on self tanners befoe applying, I use yellow kitchen gloves and it works! That or rubber gloves if not you can use your hands but make sure that you apply in less then 10 minutes then wash your hands with lotsa soap especially under the nails, around nails and with very warm water or else your hands might turn orange! On skin it's not orange though only the old tanners used to do that... what else, thin colored panty hose... knee high panty hose, also moisturizing helps the skin soften and lets the hairs grow out properly, so maybe that would help with the break outs, not sure. Hope this helsp and congrats with your boyfriend!!

Take care, Felisia

Does anyone have any remedies for facial razor burn, ingrown facial hair?

I have fair Irish skin and i always get razor burn. Worse than that i get ingrown hairs. They look like a zits and are really hard/painful. It has come to the point that I only shave once a week and I feel so self conscious I don't even want to be seen. The razor burn is at its worst on by neck near the edge of my beard. I can't take this anymore, help!

Does anyone have any remedies for facial razor burn, ingrown facial hair?

Tend skin/expensive. Good to the last drop. Unless you use it less often and it goes bad. http://www.tendskin.com/

Rub face hard with baking soda and a newer was cloth.

THANKYOUSTAN on his ebay store sells these dermatology cloths. Use advance search. Follow his instructions. I am a buyer of his products, not the seller, nor am I a family member.

Does anyone have any remedies for facial razor burn, ingrown facial hair?

Try shaving in the shower. The steam will soften the pores and hopfully not leaving any razor burn.

Make sure to use a good razor (Mach 3)

Also, good shaving cream (one to try is called Black Jack)

Does anyone have any remedies for facial razor burn, ingrown facial hair?

Hi there, was browsing about and came across this, hope this helps.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

I am 99% sure that is what it is. It is a bump that came back as soon as all the hair started growing back. It hasnt formed a head to pop though. It isnt hard... Actually you can tell that it is full of pus or some liquid, but when i stick a needle into it... all it does is bleed. I am really tired of it hurting me... What can i do?

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

I was getting bumps on my vagina too, my doctor prescribed

Doxycycline and now I no longer get them.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

i'd pluck it or go to your gynocologist.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

Go see your doc to find out what it REALLY is and quit trying to open it.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

I just threw up......

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

Take a warm bath and leave it alone it will come to a head and pop soon.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

go to your doctor and have them look at it it sounds like a pimple to me honey. But don't be scared ask for a female doctor if its your first time.they will look at it just with here eyes sometimes they may use there hands but they are very gentle.Know worries just schedule a appointment and you'll know what it is in no time ;)

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

do not stick a needle init!!!! Sqeeze it and then GENTLY scrap the area with tweezers, if it doesnt come out there and then give it a couple of hours and try again, when youve got it outta the skin, pluck it, it will hurt a little but ingrowing hairs can become a big problem. So squeeze and scrap with tweezers ok. Hope it works xXx

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

Try putting some Neosporin on it to calm it down. It could also be a cist or something like that. If it閳ユ獨 still there after 2 or 3 days of Neosporin, you might think about seeing your doctor. If it develops a white-head, then you閳ユ獟l know.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

Pluck it with some tweezers. I get them sometimes too.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

Do NOT use a needle! You're just asking for infection when you do that.

The best thing to do is exfoliate the area gently with a warm washcloth in the shower. Do this daily and it will get rid of the skin on top and help the hair push through. Also apply a dab of Neosporin at night and in the morning. This will keep the area soft and prevent infection and help drain the bump.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

omg i feel for ya, first off cleanse well and maybe disenfect then with a mirror and twezzers locate hair and try to pull it out only way it will go down good luck

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

Sometimes that happens. It's really no big deal. Squeeze it gently and get most of the fluid out. Clean the area really well and put some antibiotic cream on it. Something over the counter will do. Wear cotton panties, for ventilation. Keep wearing the antibiotic. It will eventually heal and go away. If it is an ingrown hair, it'll come out. If not, ask your gynecologist for some suggestions. :)

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

take a hot wash cloth and press it with pressure. You have to get the puss out. Pop it like a zit, then get the tweezers and pluck the hair. There should be more puss after the hair comes out. Make sure to clean it with rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Remember to exfoliate at least every other day after you shave to help the hair grow out of the skin.

Ingrown Hair on Vagina Lip?

I would go see your doctor. i know someone with a similar issue and their doctor was able to take care of it in the office.

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

just wondering - theres a bump, didn't hurt, hasnt gone away for a week or 2, tried to squeeze it with tweezers nothing came out, no hair, but i shave so..wondering what it could be? a smaller one appeared on my waist band area though too. related or??

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

just leave it alone.

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

pop it

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

i get them.....they are cysts.....and they wont hurt or pop until they are ready...if it is really big and wont go away then you can use the finger sticker thingy that diabetics use and puncture it so that you can drain it.....i have done this and they dont come back.

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

yea it happens you can pop it, use some zinc oxide on it

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

probably ingrown hair. and they can get infected and look like a bump. or even grow to be a pimple.

If you shave, you'll get them.

Why not try waxing? of course you'll have to exfoliate (rub your skin hard while in the shower to remove the dead skin) and that will stop it.

but if you shave, try a really strong moisturizer with lots of stearic acid in it. the acid smooths the skin and lets the hairs out.

there is a product called "TEND SKIN" this stuff works wonders!!!

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

They probably are related, pop'em and they won't be back. If they don't pop, wait 'em out. If you got 'em shaving, then use a fresh razor and shave with the direction of the hair growth...otherwise you probably got it when your clothing rubbed you the wrong way of a longer period of time.

Don't sweat it unless it begins to hurt or gets warm and red...then you might have an infection which poping it and cleaning it will fix...should clean it anyway...

Relax, you'll live.... :)

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

Stop touching it, see a dermatologist.

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

stick a needle in it so you can squeeze it out!

Ingrown hair on pubic area?

get a pin and pop it and then wash it out... that should take care of it... it might still be red for a while but that will stop

How long does it take to get an ingrown hair?

i just shaved my legs for my first time and i'm a bit worried of ingrown hairs!how long does it take to get one,how can i prevent one and how to get rid of one please!

best answer gets 10 pts!

How long does it take to get an ingrown hair?

It won't take you very long at all to realize that you've got ingrown hairs. Usually about two days or so. You'll have red painful bumps where the hairs are.

Prevention: exfoliate before shaving to slough off the dead skin cells that might block growing hairs.

Removal: exfoliation can sometimes help. I also recommend putting on a warm compress to draw the hair upward. Then use tweezers to pull it out.

How long does it take to get an ingrown hair?

dont worry

ingrown hairs arent known 2 grow on legs(at all)

usually it happens when guys shave their heads alot

and maybe sometimes under ur arms

How long does it take to get an ingrown hair?

If you lathered your legs well you shouldn't get any ingrown hairs. I find that my regular hair conditioner works great as a shaving cream as well. It doesnt get all sudsy on your legs and leaves them silky smooth!

How long does it take to get an ingrown hair?

Ingrown hairs are hairs that are growing under the skin... so you will get them at the same speed your hair grows... so for most girls about 2-3 days.

To prevent them, shave regularly and exfoliate a couple times a week.

A lot of people say to shave in the direction of the hair, but I you don't get a very close shave that way, so I say just remember to exfoliate to shed that dead skin the hairs get trapped under.

Have fun in shorts this summer!

How long does it take to get an ingrown hair?

There's no way you can prevent an ingrown hair if you do get one, but you can reduce the inflammation caused by an ingrown hair. You should order a bottle of Tend Skin lotion. Tend Skin lotion is a medicated lotion that prevents shave bumps and irritation caused by ingrown hairs.

Ingrown hair or something else?

hellp! okay so about three or so weeks ago i got a brazilian wax. few days after that i shaved some more. I noticed i got a cluster of smalllll smallllll tiny whitish redish bumps right where my hair starts to grow. not very low by the privates but above that. I tried popping them to see if hair would come out but all that does com out is blood. they wont go away. they don't hurt at all and they have been there a while. what could this be? are they still ingrwon hairs? help me please im freaking out.

Ingrown hair or something else?

i dont think its anything bad, i think you are probably right, an ingrown hair. but could it be an infection of some sort?

Ingrown hair or something else?

sounds out like the beginning of ingrown hairs OR maybe they are just little bumps from the hair being ripped out which is still irritated. I wouldn't worry too much.

another idea is to contact the place you got it done at and ask them if its normal or possibly a side effect.

good luck %26amp; take care.

Ingrown hair or something else?

It sounds a lot like an ingrown hair.

Usually you need to wait to go to the waxer for her to get them out or you could get scarring and possibly an infection.

If you can see the hair trapped in there, maybe try getting some tweezers and squeezing it out.

After waxing you should exfoliate so that you don't get ingrowns.

Good luck.

How do u get rid of an ingrown pubic hair?

The other day as i was taking a pi, i noticed a very rare bump on the underside of my penis, since i am absitant, i knew it was not any form of an std. I think that it is a ingrown pubic hair. I shaved all of them off, and noticed that the bump has decreased in size, what should i do?

How do u get rid of an ingrown pubic hair?

Wait and see. If it goes away, no problem. If is does not wait for it to get full of pus and pop it then fish out the hair. Clean and disinfect. That's what I did.

How do u get rid of an ingrown pubic hair?

try to pop it

ingrown hairs suck!!!!!!!

slash

even if u pop it if you don't get the hair it comes back

How do u get rid of an ingrown pubic hair?

Have a warm bath, dry yourself rubbing the bump, this removes dead skin cells, over time the hair will come out,if it's painful, use antiseptic to reduce swelling if really brave get a sterilized pin puncture skin and work it out by pinching skin around ingrowing hair.

Ingrown hair now infected?

I decieded to shave a little more than normal in the bikini area. well three days later i get this bump the size of a m%26amp;m . it hurt and it was red. about a week later it started to down size. and come to a head. Ah everyone says it should do this!!! and the hair will pop out ........not in my case, now i had to go digging around with tweezers to get 8 hairs that were in there out. so i get all these hairs out, apply topical and peroxide to the area thinking it would stop producing puss. the next day.

as of today and the same as the past few days is producing puss about the size of a 4 pin heads , not a lot but this is bugging me!!! because it is still a bump .. filled with grossness.

I took amoxicillian , as well as keeping it super clean and topical antibiotics on it

what else can i do to rid myself of this

shouldn't it go away after the hair is out ..

why is there still puss in there at all after the hair is removed

how long can i expect this to go on

Ingrown hair now infected?

Keep some neosporin on it and other anti bacterial meds on it and it should be fine. if it isn't kept up then it will turn to staff infection and will be really nasty and contagious to anyone whom so touches the puss. if it does turn into staff then you can go and get some black sabb at a pharmacy store and you should be ok. in any other case shave downwards to prevent situations like this from now on.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

i am a virgin, about 6 months ago i had 2 or 3 bumps on my penis on the right underside of the shaft. they went away. i thought not much of it. but now i have had one for almost a month. it doesnt seem to be getting much better, but not any worse. there is no pain, nor itching. its just embarassing and mentally disturbing.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

its ingrown hair. i had the same problem and just like you i was freaking out. i went see my doctor and she told me it was ingrown hair. mines took about 3weeks to disapear.

Herpes? ingrown hair? acne?

visit your doctor.

Herpes? ingrown hair?

Why and how to treat ingrown hair?

I've always shaved but recently I've been waxing, and noticed that I started getting ingrown hairs, why is that? does waxing causes that? How do you treat them? is this suppose to happen? Plz Help

Why and how to treat ingrown hair?

I also wax, and yes, it causes ingrown hairs occasionally, especially if you have really thick, coarse hair. The best way I've found to treat them if you already have them is to sterilize a needle and tweezers, and pull them out at the source. Typically you can see the ingrown hair just under the surface of the skin. Lance the skin with the needle just enough to expose the hair, then pull it out with the tweezers. Follow up with antibiotic cream so that it doesn't get infected.

However, the best way to deal with the problem is to prevent it. Most wax kits come with an exfoliating cream. For about five days after waxing, use it with a rough sponge or washcloth, and it will do a great job at preventing ingrown hairs.

Why and how to treat ingrown hair?

ingrown hairs is normally caused when your hair is extremely curly it starts to grow and then it starts curling so it grows under the skin.

sometimes if you put a a towel with pretty warm water on it it helps pull them out or you could pick at it and get it infected.

I don't think waxing causes it.

hope I helped.

Why and how to treat ingrown hair?

Yes waxing is causing the ingrown hairs. Its because you took the hair out from the root and now they are starting to grow back and your pores are closed. Some people think its because the hair curls but not completely true. I have straight hair and I got ingrown hair in my leg. just rub your skin with warm water with a cloth/sponge. It will take the dead skin and open your pores, it will also release some of those ingrowing hairs. If you have lots of them and they are getting infected (red with pus) go to the doctor. I know that some people take them out themselves with a needle. It works but you might damage your skin and even give yourself a bigger infection. Shaving is better because you are only shaving the surface of the hair, and your hair will continue grow back normally....Hope this helped!!!

Why and how to treat ingrown hair?

i would stop waxing and go back to shaving.

Why and how to treat ingrown hair?

Ingrown hairs happen when the hairs curl back under the skin and can cause red bumps and inflammation of the hair follicle (folliculitis). When you have ingrowns you should exfoliate the area daily with a loofah or scrub to help hair grow in the right direction.

How to get rid of ingrown hair/cyst on scrotum???

I have about 5 ingrown hairs or pimples that look like small cysts (smaller than bbs) on my scrotum, (not on the testicles, on the outside skin) one has gotten irritated but they havent really gotten bigger, i have had them for a few months and they havent gone away, is there anything i can do on my own to get them to go away?

How to get rid of ingrown hair/cyst on scrotum???

Dude, those are completely normal and nothing to worry about. Some guys get them and some don't, just like acne. My advice is to just leave them alone. If they come to a white head you can pop it if you want but that's a tender place for that. :) Welcome to being a man. I'm 37 and I still get them occasionally.

How to get rid of ingrown hair/cyst on scrotum???

Sounds like it's time to go to the Dr. 2 months is to long, could be something else going on.

How to get rid of ingrown hair/cyst on scrotum???

If the skin wasn't so sensitive there, it wouldn't be quite the problem it is. If you scratch the area to see if you can free the follicle, do it very carefully (like I need to say that). Just working around it carefully is probably the only suggestion you'll get, I'm afraid.

Good product for woman who shave their public hair that reduces red bumps/ingrown hairs?

i could pull out each one with my teeth

Good product for woman who shave their public hair that reduces red bumps/ingrown hairs?

I shave that area with shampoo, for some reason it seems to reduce the incidence of this. A friend recommended it, and it works. Try it.

Good product for woman who shave their public hair that reduces red bumps/ingrown hairs?

I'm not sure about the shampoo thing, but I always use a cheap hair conditioner like a shaving gel when I shave my pits, legs, or public hair. I never have the bumps issue and it helps keep the skin conditioned, too.

Good product for woman who shave their public hair that reduces red bumps/ingrown hairs?

Deoderant. No joke, sweetie. I used to have this problem all the time during the swimming season, apply deoderant to the part you shave.

Note: This also works wonders on bug-bites.

Ladies ONLY plz : ingrown hair in bikini area?

ok ladies......I shave EVERYWHERE everyday......and I NEVER get ingrown hairs ANYWHERE EXCEPT the bikini area.....and usually in the furthest SOUTH area if you know what I mean.........

HOW do you prevent this?

HOW do you get rid of them once you get them??

Is there any products on the market for this??

I tried looking it up online and came up with nothing!

they are sooo painfull down there!!

any help is MUCH appreciated!!!!

Thank u

Ladies ONLY plz : ingrown hair in bikini area?

Use bikini zone shave gel when you shave and use bikini zone after shave gel immediately after shaving and whenever you start to feel a bit irritated. It at least helps me delay the onset of the ingrown hairs and helps reduce the number of them.

Also, use baby powder anywhere your thighs may rub you where you've shaved, as moisture breeds bacteria and bacteria is what causes ingrown hairs to become infected.

http://www.bikini-zone.com/

Ladies ONLY plz : ingrown hair in bikini area?

the best thing to do is laser hair removal. it really does work!!!

Ladies ONLY plz : ingrown hair in bikini area?

you can buy stuff, near the razor section of the drug store, called bikini zone, or something like that, follow directions carefully and it works really well, no red spots either

I have chronic ingrown hair infection. What is the best method of treatment?

I have dark spots all over my legs and pubic area which have accumulated over time. I have gone through so much pain numerous amounts of time the day prior to shaving. I know these become ingrown hairs, but they have become infected and spread leaving more dark spots which I think are scars left of ingrownhairs. How can I treat this? Are there over-the-counter antibiotics I can purchase? lotions or creams I can use? Any skin treatment methods you can suggest?

I have chronic ingrown hair infection. What is the best method of treatment?

What you have is not a scarring problem so much as a pigmentation problem. It's called traumatic hyperpigmentation, and it's common in folks with cafe au lait or caramel colored skin. It's a reaction to any sort of damage to the skin, be it from an ingrown hair, a pimple or a bug bite. Unfortunately there isn't a cure for it either. It's not a scar in the same sense that you would have a scar from being cut, so scar reduction creams won't work. You simply form more pigment at the site of an injury, and they don't work on pigment. Nothing does really. If you have a problem with ingrown hairs, you need to address the causes of that happening. For starters, you need to be sure you are using a very sharp razor blade, and not a dull one. You need to use plenty of shaving cream or gel to lubricate the skin as well. You can also help stave off ingrown hairs by using an exfolliant or a rough bath scrubbie in the tub or shower. I'm sorry, but those are really the only options you have, aside from not shaving at all. Or using an electric razor, which will not cut the hair below the skin line. As far as the spots, sometimes they fade with time, but if you truly have traumatic hyperpigmentation, it's going to happen any time the skin is damaged. Sorry, but that is the truth. The various skin lightening potions don't truly have any effect on them. They just remove a layer of dead skin, which tends to make them look lightened, at least until the skin deadens with age and exposure again. The effect is only temporary at best. You just have to limit the damage to the skin, that's the only thing you can do.

I have chronic ingrown hair infection. What is the best method of treatment?

Shave with the grain of the hair....that way they won't come up in the first place

How do i get rid of this ingrown hair?

so i posted a question a few hours ago about a bump on my labia. i have come to the conclusion that it IS an ingrown hair. now that i know what it is, i need to know how to get rid of it. id like to know the quickest, most painless way possible. because it hurts and i want it gone! hah

How do i get rid of this ingrown hair?

i would be very careful with this as if you open it up then it might be prone to other infrcetions.butif you are abrave soul i will tell you how.

soak in a hot hot first or apply a warm comprss to the area to make the swelling as large as possible. havre ready first aid supplies befre you begin. that is--some sort of absorbent cloth or maxi-pad, because it is liable to bleed or leak pus out. have several ready.

wash the are with soap and watervery well. if hair is in the way you may shave it or cut it to be able to see better.

sterilizez a needle, not a small sewing one either, it has to be a little larger to allow the fluids to drain out. or use an edge of a razor blade.this hurts more but is quicker than the needle,

you can sterlize the needle or razor by soaking it in aclohol. using a flame to sterlixe doent work and may infect the area more, dont do that.

put a clean towel on the bed ubnder you and position a mirror or use a hand mirrior you see below.remenber kepp al your suppl;ies within reach.

whay yo willlhave to do is lance the lump. that is to "POP" it.so the more you can get it to arise the better.the larger the hole withthe needle orlonger the small cut wit the bld then the faster it will drain out.

to lance it squeeze it until the largest part comes to the top, just like you would squeeze a zip. that is the part you want to poke with the large needle or make a small insiion woththe blade. by which i mean, just a 1/4r less or an inch to pop it. squeeze out all you can until the fluidinside that comes out is a clear color. if it is full of pus it may have been more than an ingrown follicle and you need to watch out fot more, because staph infections are very prevalant and you dont want them to spread to you blood or other tisses. wash your hands throw away the toe=wels used, instrumren=tmnet too if possible, and take a hot shower.

if you can get chlorahexadine ( a surgical scrub) from your local pharmacy, use it to was for a few days to cut down on bacteriaa.if not just use soap and water but DO NOT puy hydrogen peroxide on the are, as it will impede thehealingprocess.

thisis almost exactly whay a hospital will do, except they would also send the flud from the lump for testing ti see what it is, and if you need antibotics.

if you can go to a hospital i recommend doing that instead

Also, take some tylenol before you begin all this as ,it will hurt.

it might be helpful to have a trusted friend help you with this if possible.

How do i get rid of this ingrown hair?

No real quick fix, I am afraid. Apply warm compresses as often as you can and/or need to for pain.
